In Studio
There is no charge for the first thirty minutes of consultation time. Thereafter a charge will be assessed for each fifteen-minute time increment at the studio hourly rate.
On-Site
Fees are based on our hourly or daily rate plus the cost of travel.
There is a $75 examination fee for the first two items. Examinations and estimates for larger collections will be based on our hourly rate. Estimates are valid for one year.
Initial Payment
An initial payment of half of the estimated treatment cost, excluding optional work, must be sent to Works on Paper with the signed treatment proposal before any work can begin on your job.
Final Payment
Clients will be notified once treatment is complete and invoiced for the remaining balance of the treatment costs, including any selected optional work. Final payment must be received by Works on Paper prior to or on the day of pick up or before shipping the item(s).

The amount of time it takes to complete a treatment will vary. On average, it will take four months to complete your job once the work has been approved. Expedited treatment is usually available but is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the conservator's schedule and the types of treatment involved. A 25% rush fee will be charged for this service.
